Process

Four steps from seed to stone.

Each diamond is grown atom by atom in a controlled chamber, then cut and graded to the same standards as the finest mined stones.

  1. 01

    Seeding

    ~6 hours

    A diamond seed is placed in a vacuum CVD reactor and prepared for growth.

  2. 02

    Plasma

    24 hours

    Hydrogen and methane ignited at ~800 °C, dissociating into a carbon plasma.

  3. 03

    Growth

    ~20 days

    Carbon atoms deposit onto the seed, crystallising layer by layer into rough.

  4. 04

    Finishing

    ~8 hours

    Laser-cut, hand-polished on copper, then independently graded by IGI.
